Navratri Mahotsav 2024: A Celebration of Devotion and Tradition
On 10th October 2024, Modern School, Koradi Road, celebrated the Navratri Mahotsav with great devotion and joy. The event began with the sacred Kanya Pujan, a significant ritual of Durga Ashtami, which was initiated by the dignitaries: Director Mrs. Neeru Kapai, Manager Mr. Rohan Kapai, Principal Miss Rupali Dey, and the Headmistress Miss Asha Deshraj. Navratri, one of the most revered festivals in India, honors the triumph of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.
Following the Kanya Pujan, the Mahaprasad was distributed to all students(Std I-Std XII), teachers, and all the other employees . The cabinet members, along with the NCC cadets, played a crucial role in managing the entire process. Their discipline, coordination, and dedication ensured that the Prasad was served efficiently and with respect to all present. The students enthusiastically chanted “Jai Mata Di” before partaking in the prasad, making the atmosphere even more vibrant and spiritual.
This time-honored tradition has been carried forward for many years, and it continues to be cherished by the school community. Everyone relished the Prasad with reverence, enjoying the spirit of the festival. The convener of the program was Sangeeta Shriwas, whose efforts ensured the smooth and successful execution of the event.
