Modern School, Koradi Road, Nagpur, paid a heartfelt tribute to the valiant soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces on the solemn occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, marking its 26th anniversary on 25th July 2025. The commemorative event was held in the school auditorium and commenced at 8:30 AM, with the presence of dignitaries, students, and faculty.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Ashok Bagul, Deputy Superintendent of Police, PCR Nagpur – a distinguished officer of the Maharashtra Police, renowned for his academic excellence, holding degrees in B.Sc., LL.B., LL.M., MBA (HR), Ph.D. in Criminal Law, and an advanced degree in Digital & Cyber Forensic Law. Dr. Bagul is also a faculty expert at the Maharashtra Police Academy, Nasik and the Centre for Police Research, Pune. The event began with the arrival of the chief guest followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Mrs. Anita Nair served as the comperer for the day, seamlessly guiding the event and setting a solemn yet inspiring tone.
A soulful group song by the music students stirred feelings of patriotism. A powerful English speech was followed by a touching Hindi poem, presented by Vagmi Choudhary, honoring the sacrifices of our brave soldiers.NCC students showcased a thoughtful PowerPoint presentation on the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas, illustrating the bravery and valor displayed during the conflict. A presentation by the ‘Prahar’ Organisation offered deeper insights into the Kargil War, highlighting stories of courage and resilience. NCC, RSP, and CDCC students, along with Classes 9 and 10 students, gathered as respectful and attentive audience, fully engaged in the commemoration.
The event was meticulously coordinated under the able leadership of Mrs. Sujata Singh and Mrs. Samina Rasheed (Convenors).
Mrs. Anita Nair extended a gracious vote of thanks, expressing deep appreciation to the guests, presenters, faculty, and students for making the day meaningful and impactful.
The program concluded with the lighting of candles by all attendees, leaving the audience with a lasting impression of sacrifice, unity, and pride in the nation.
